The Department of Computer Science has reformed the program structures in computer science: from winter semester 2018/19, updated study plans and examination regulations will apply to newly enrolled students. The new curricula offer significantly more flexibility and improved compulsory sections help to improve the individual study progress.
Due to the greater flexibility in the new computer science program, students can strive for a similar profile as in the previous program “Computer Science in Applications”. As a consequence, the Bachelor and Master program "Computer Science in Applications" will be closed for new enrolments from winter semester 2018/19 (last enrolments were possible in summer semester 2018).
The Bachelor degree in computer science as a three-year university degree comprises
- Scientific Foundations of Computer Science,
- Fundamentals of complex IT systems
- Important competences of software development
Some courses towards the end of the bachelor program are offered in English.
The research-oriented Master's program 'Computer Science' requires a Bachelor degree which provides the necessary scientific fundamentals. Students can choose a specific field of computer science as their Specialisation. P>
Enrolments are possible during the summer and winter semesters. P>
